Well, another day another dollar. I woke up this morning in a fowl mood. I was mad at the world. I didn't want anything to do with anything at all today. All I wanted to do was lay in bed all day and listen to traffic outside my window. I had the absolute worst headache this morning. I'm pretty sure that contributed to my bitterness. Alas, I had to come to work today and deal with morons all day. But when I got up it wasn't so bad. My roomate was in a really good mood and I think some of it rubbed off on me. We are planning a trip to Halifax in July and we both are really excited. Yesterday we spent most of the day trying to a nice but fair priced hotel to stay at. We finally settled on the Delta. We found half decent prices and decided that it would be a good idea since the hotel is centrally located and it's easier to find your way around. So we called the hotel to make the reservations. Apparently they have 2 hotels in Halifax and they asked us which one we would like to stay at. I asked what the difference was in location and they said "There's no difference at all. The hotels are right accross the street from eachother." WTF? That has to be the weirdest thing i've ever heard. A few differences were that one hotel is a high rise and one is only 3 - 4 floors. One hotel only offers valet parking and the other one has either valet or park yourself (which costs 15 dollars a day). One hotel has an EXCELLENT view of the harbour.
Well I was pretty mad about the whole having to pay for your paking deal. I think that hotels should have free parking. Or incorperate the price of the parking into the rate of the room. Needless to say I booked the room anyways. I knew I could cancel if I found a better place. And by luck I did! I was surfing the net at work and decided to check out a hotel that i've stayed at last time I was there. Their rates were cheaper and they have free parking. So I called up to book and and then called delta to cancel. They tried the whole "Are ya sure ya don't wanna stay with us " deal and blah blah blah. I was really excited about the better hotel that i'm stayin at.
Anyhoo... Im really excited about goin up. There's not a whole lot we can do tho. We really can't go out drinking or anything. My roomie is preggo. But it will still be fun as hell. It will be like a mini vacation for me. WOOOOOOOP! haha... Here comes my good mood!
